SNAP Delivery

Welcome. Below is a guide to grocery delivery for people who are disabled, homebound, quarantining, or unable to get to the store. Food Stamps are also called “SNAP” or “EBT.” In California it’s called “CalFresh”.

Delivery Programs Accepting Food Stamps

🌷 Amazon in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming – Select areas only. 🌷 Walmart in Various States – Although the website states that Walmart is pickup only (no home delivery), some readers report that their local walmart stores are able to accept EBT for delivery. Contact your local store.

🧡 Kroger is expanding to accept SNAP for curbside pickup at locations throughout the US. Order groceries online, then drive by your local Kroger (or ask a friend to go for you). Keep checking back as locations are expanding.

🌷 USDA Purchasing Pilot – Coming to More States – Online grocery ordering is coming soon. Not clear if it will be for home delivery or pick up only (may depend on area). Stay tuned.

🌷 Schwann’s in Most States – Schwann’s accept food stamps and offers delivery. However, readers are reporting that many Schwann’s stores have stopped accepting food stamps for deliveries. Stay tuned.

🌷 Some meals-on-wheels programs will now accept food stamps! These programs provide cooked meals for people who are homebound. Contact your local Area Agency on Aging. Call them even if you are young. Many aging agencies also serve younger people with disabilities.

Ordering Tips

🧡 Can’t get a delivery slot on Amazon or somewhere else? Reader’s tip: Start as early as possible in the day. Put everything in your cart ready to check out. Come back every 30 minutes and try to check out. Eventually a slot will open. The minute it opens, grab it, even if it is not for today.

🧡 Amazon is not letting new customers order groceries in some areas. You may get a message that says “invitation only.” There is no way to actually get an invitation, this is just a fancy way of saying “waiting list.” If you have a friend who is already a customer for Amazon grocery delivery, you could try seeing if the system will allow that person to place orders to your house.

🧡 Reader’s Tip: If you live in a state where Amazon accepts food stamps, but are having trouble using your EBT card on the Amazon site, try switching from “Amazon Fresh” and use “Amazon Pantry” instead.

Running Out of Food? 

🌷 Medicaid: If you are in a disability home aide program, some states are expanding to offer home delivered meals. Check with your caseworker, or learn more about changes in your state: Changes to Medicaid Home Care in the Time of Corona

🧡 Many states are raising the amount of food stamps everyone gets for 1-2 months. You do not need to do anything special to apply for this. If you are already on food stamps, it will happen automatically.

🧡 Many states are expanding their SNAP food stamps programs to offer more food stamps to more people or to remove work requirements. If you were not eligible for food stamps before, you might look into applying now.

🧡 Some states are changing their food stamps regulations to bring everyone up to maximum benefits. So a person who gets $1 in food stamps will now get $200.

🧡 If you are live with other people and you are on food stamps (or applying) it’s a good idea to make sure you know the rules for household composition and that you are following them. It can make a very big difference in the amount of benefits you receive. How to SNAP: Household Rules

Stores That Shop For You

Some stores will allow you to place your order online. They will do the shopping for you and have your groceries ready at the register (or sometimes they will bring them to the car). You can also shop online and then send a friend to do the pickup for you.

Tips from Reader:

🌷 Reader’s report they have done this successfully at many different stores, including: Giant Eagle, Shoprite, Harris Teeter, and Walmart

🌷 When you order online, if there is no option to pay with food stamps, select “pay at store” or “pay in cash” or “pay at pick up.”

🌷 You may need to enter a credit card, and they can place a hold on the card without actually charging it.

🌷 When you get to the store, pay with EBT. Some places can even bring the EBT reader out to the car if you are unable to go in.

🌷 You may want to contact your local store first to make sure this will go smoothly.

🌷 Some readers have also had success by calling or writing small, local stores and explaining their situation.

Adding a Shopper

🌷 If you have a friend, family member, or disability aide who shops for you, you can request to have this person added as an authorized shopper on your food stamps card so they can shop on your behalf.

🌷 If your helper does not use your card regularly, but is doing this on a short term or occasional basis, some states do not require that you get permission, and they will just allow someone to shop for you when needed.

Food Banks and Food Co-ops

🧡 Reader’s report that some food banks are adding delivery services. Food banks offer free groceries to people in need. Find a Food Bank in Your Area

🧡 Many food co-ops are creating special hours where elderly and immune-compromised members can shop without crowds and stress. Food Co-ops offer healthy foods and wonderful communities. Many accept food stamps: Find a Food Co-op in Your Area.

Shopping Assistance for People with Disabilities

🌷 If you are unable to care for yourself, you can apply for a disability home aide program.

🌷 If you do not have severe care needs, and just need help with shopping and chores, some areas offer this. Not available everywhere: How to Get a Caregiver.

🌷 If you are currently in a Medicaid program that sends an aide through an agency, and the agency does not allow shopping or driving, one solution is to switch to a self-directed care program so you can select an aide who is allowed to shop.

Transportation

🌷  In many areas, paratransit programs will provide door-to-door transportation to take you to the store. Some will carry your groceries to your house for you.

There is now a great deal of support, understanding, and help available to people staying home during Coronavirus, but none of this was available to us all these years, and when Coronavirus is over, it may go away again.

As you go about your day, please take a moment to think about your homebound friends. You may be able to go back out someday, but we may never be able to.

  1. Great info! I found your blog last year around the time Amazon Fresh started accepting SNAP EBT in CA. I came here today to see if you or someone else reading my comment know of an Amazon customer discussion forum. I know there used to be some years ago but were shut down. I find nowhere to discuss things that need discussing. I started shopping Amazon Fresh weekly using EBT payment over a year ago. For the first few months it was great. Then things started going downhill and have not reversed course. It just keeps getting worse despite my constant complaints. I receive rotten and expired or nearly expired food as well as half thawed frozen food and even generic snacks when I order organic whole grain ones. I do get a refund when I complain (the DIY refund is turned off in my account since I’ve used it so much with Fresh) but a refund is not food I can eat. I’m beginning to develop a strong suspicion that maybe this is a “special treatment” for EBT customers, that Amazon doesn’t want them and is discouraging them from shopping or that EBT money is not as good as other money and EBT customers get the trash by default. I don’t want to think that way but I have to wonder how else the Amazon Fresh business can survive if all customers get the treatment I get. Could it be that because a tip is not charged to EBT customers, shoppers-drivers take their revenge on them? It is all speculation at this point since Amazon has refused to answer my questions again and again. All I get is self-serving copy/paste statements about the great job they do and how this will never happen again. So I’d like to know if someone paying with EBT has had a similar experience with Amazon Fresh or knows something I don’t know. Of course it would also be interesting to hear what people who don’t pay with EBT have to say about their experience with Amazon Fresh. Thank you all for tips and insights!

  2. Amazon Fresh and Prime are almost 100% – 200% higher than everywhere else
    and 50% of what one wants is “OUT OF STOCK”.
    But you can use EBT or SNAP for payment.

  4. WalMart using delivery services to fulfill SNAP orders is BS! I’m a delivery driver and just took a $350+ grocery order to someone who used SNAP. I depend on tips to survive and now I’ve basically done an hours worth of work for maybe $.20 after expenses (to a 3rd floor apartment nonetheless).
    If using SNAP for WalMart grocery delivery service, please tip your driver $7-$10 or don’t order delivery!

      1. When I worked for instacart I got payed $7 per order plus penny’s for gas. The rest the compony put on the customers tip. Most orders took an hour or longer and most people didn’t tip or tipped very little. I would think Walmart May not be better.

    2. Thanks for bringing this up. Only problem is if you’re on Food Stamps aka SNAP, it means you’re living perpetually on the edge of bankrupcy, on a miniscule disability, welfare or underfunded retirement-level income.

      I’m one of them. If I could Tip everyone, I would; (I grew-up that way), but it’s an impossibility. (And BTW I do live an extremely frugal life–no tv, no cable, no haircuts, no makeup, no jewelry, only second-hand and/or donated clothes…, am anal about living frugally. (NOT Cheap, but frugal). It’s not easy being fastidiously frugal–it’s time-consuming, exhausting… “work…!!!”).

      As for Tipping, Inasmuch as I’d like to do so, and generously, at that, I must continually appologize to service providers I’m not just being “cheap”–I’m being financially–albeit not socially-“Responsible,” by not doing so.

      All the multi-Decades Advocacy I’ve done on these issues, have unfortunately either gone in one ear, and out the other, or Disregarded, or UN-Implemented by every Agency, State, Government, Organizations, Companies, Politicians I’ve ever done Advocacy to, through, for, or with.

      In 2017, I finally accepted the hypochrisy and gave up advocacy altogether.

      Issues already being dealt by me, way back in the eighties, still go unaddressed to this very age (2020); have only gotten pretty words for, at Conferences, meetings, Symposia, Speeches, Letter-Writing, Phone Calling, political Activism, even Performance Art, though praised, even Awarded, attained NOTHING; No action or changes whatsoever. It SICKENS me!

      Sorry Buddy, I cannot tip.

      1. Hello Anonymous you burnt our Activist, I was cheering you on as I read your reply. I am a disabled woman with Osteoarthritis, I can no longer drive so I must order on line. And since I get disability pay, I also get SNAP benefits. Every penny counts when you live on the poverty line and have health issues. I have been digging for information now since 2015 when I lost my job, then went on disability in 2016. When Walmart offered SNAP for home delivery, just this crazy COVID season, I was elated till I saw they were asking for a tip. Then they stopped asking for a Tip, I noticed if you were using snap you they can not charge the snap card, BUT if you ordered say Toilet Paper, and you had to use your visa card because SNAP does not buy TP, then they want you to tip on the whole order. I know the drivers here in VA are with a third party company ( its not Instacart) Walmart picks and packs the groceries, and loads the drivers car. The driver just has to drive and deliver. It has been very frustrating indeed, but the few dollars I have left after bills needs to go to taxable items for my survival. People are way to quick to judge you when you have government benefits and it is a sad thing indeed. Its bad enough that you have to pay a Delivery Fee, either per order or for the month, SNAP does not cover those things, so already you go into the cash that you have, or you go without something else inorder to pay the Delivery Fees. And the killer too is, the other stores like Kroger and Foodlion, have home delivery, but do not take SNAP, and their fees are incredible. Companies are pretty sneaky, have been right along, but since COVID they are out right blunt. Keep your eyes open. The thing I am on a quest now is calling Kroger Corporate on Monday, I was given a Kroger gift card over a month ago, since I no longer drive I can not go in the store. But in looking at Kroger Click list, delivery and Ship to home, none of them will take the Kroger gift card, you can only use the gift card in store. I called several areas for information and all said the same. So Cooperate is getting a call and I will see if that goes any where. Life should not have to be this hard when you get older and have a disability.

        1. Have you tried Amazon. With EBT you get Amazon fresh for Free and prime at half price. Tdon’t think they can even accept tips. Delivery is also free with minimum purchase. I’ve been doing every two weeks. I have been very happy with fresh produce quality. I get 204/month so I actually have a hard time spending it since I don’t eat meat. I’m San Diego so if you are not near a big city it may not be available.

    5. Obviously If people are on snap they can’t afford food. You get paid regardless if you get tipped or not. It’s your job to deliver groceries if you don’t like it then this job isn’t for you.

    6. It’s your choice to accept the order. You can just as easily decline them. I do due to a major spinal surgery. Once you’ve accepted it you have no room to complain. Yeah it sucks, but we’re not guaranteed a tip from anywhere, or anyone.

  5. i LIVE IN vIRGINIA, tHE GOVENOR ANNOUNCED LAST WEEK THAWellWALTMART & AMAZON WOULD NOW ACCEPT Snap for delivery. Week. It doesn’t say that on Walmart, pick up only. haven’t bothered to check Amazon. So tired ot trying to find a way to get food without having to bother people. I’m homebound, no vehicle.

  10. As far as I know as someone who works in the field and as far as it is stated on the walmart.com website, Walmart is only able to accept SNAP as payment for delivery orders in New York. Where are your sources for them rolling out SNAP delivery in Florida and California?

      Walmart has an agreement through the USDA. They offer online ordering and pick up in all states listed above.

      Some readers have reported Walmart also delivering in some of these areas. I don’t recall where… it might be store by store?

        1. Amazon now gives you Amazon Fresh for free with EBT card. Two hour delivery window with minimum $25 purchase. I am getting hooked. Food is good. A little more expensive. I get 204 per month now and still can’t spend it all since I dont buy meat.

    2. I got a notice from EBT saying we could start ordering from Amazon and walmart on the 28th. No problem with amazon except that the prices are outrageous. I have a call into walmart to see why it isn’t working there. If I have to pick up why bother ordering online?

      1. Today will be the first time I’ll try shopping for groceries since the first week in March — I should have a huge amount of credit on the SNAP card to use, but now I’m worried there won’t be much on the shelves to buy.

        By the way — here’s something you might like to know… for the past two months sitting at home, I’ve contacted both of my state senators and my congress people (both state and federal) and explained to them in great detail the Catch-22 situation, how people that are disabled or housebound like me and who really need SNAP to live can NOT get groceries delivered since SNAP “demands” that we show up in person at the grocery store to use the service, making SNAP pretty much worthless for many of us. It makes no sense that people who are immobile and rely on SNAP can’t pay online even though the SNAP card is like a credit card — you run it through the exact same damned machine at the grocery store as you would a credit card, so why couldn’t we do that online since we shop with credit cards online? Makes ZERO sense.

        The good thing is, I received follow-up emails and actual phone calls back from the offices of these senators and congress people, and ALL of them did NOT know about this loophole/Catch-22 situation when it came to SNAP — so now they DO know and have promised to add this to their agendas.

        Therefore, I encourage all of you to do the same thing — go to the websites of your senators and congress people, hit the “contact us” pages and give them a brief description of this problem/situation — the more of them who are aware of this weird loophole in the SNAP rules, the better. Imagine if they stared getting messages from every one of us — as I said, none of them in my state had heard of this dilemma with SNAP, so this will likely be news for many of your senators and congress people also.

Oh, one other thing to add — if any of your do decide to contact your senators and congress people, please remember to add that it’s difficult (even in normal circumstances) to get to and from a grocery store for many of us, but nowadays, we have to consider the major safety factor also with this damned virus — many of use who rely on SNAP are also in the “high risk” group when it comes to contacting and surviving this virus — which adds even more urgency to your pleas for congress to address this issue.

    4. I called the Amazon offices late last year and talked to someone directly, and no, Amazon (in the majority of states, including mine — Illinois) will not take SNAP as payment, but they will give a discount to people for their “Prime” service who are on SNAP.

      1. I’m homebound in Idaho and have accumulated $513 on my SNAP card (my monthly amount is $70) because no one will deliver. And even when I put in a MONTHLY order on my debit card, the only thing Albertson’s brought me was 2 jars of generic mayo. So I bit the bullet and ordered from Walmart. They only brought me an 8oz block of cheese. So unless a person can shop, you don’t know what the store even has in stock.

  17. Walmart pick-up as well as Albertsons in California is a joke. You select your items and are given a pick-up time window. When I arrived at Walmart, which is 30 miles from my home, they stated that they only had 10% of the order I placed in stock. I asked them why my order was incomplete, since I ordered it 5 days in advance, and was told that those items were sold out. BS!,I went into the store and found much of what I needed amongst the empty shelves. I spoke to the store manager and explained my situation to which he replied, “try a different Walmart”. You would think that ordering 5 days in advance would put me in a priority que, especially the non-perishable items. Not so.

    Albertsons was even worse, they called me the day of my pick-up, and stated it was cancelled. To top it off, it was a robo-call.

  18. Oh thank you sweet lady first of all for your FB page. SO colorful, makes me smile. I have Osteoarthritis, bone on bone. Pain is off the charts, walking an issue and driving is less and less.I Collect disibility, widow benifits and foodstamps. I have searched untill I have turned purple, on where to buy groceries on line here in Roanoke, VA. I can use our Kroger Click List, but can only use my credit card, but I can go into the store and use my FS card. It is maddening to know you have foodstamps you can spend, but you have to go into the store to do it. And my concern is too, when you cant get good deals you spend more which leaves less FS, which means less food. In doing my best to stay at home, I have to go out, and with FS I have to go into the stores to use them. I need solutions and cant find them. I sure hope someone can help me. Thank you

  20. Georgia is also giving people who get a minimal amount of food stamps the maximum amount for March and April. I just got mine today, April 1, for the month of March. Grateful for it!

    1. According to Schwan’s FAQs section, they do accept EBT payments but you first need to use a credit card to hold your order and present your EBT card to your Route Sales Representative upon delivery. If you aren’t home for your scheduled delivery, the credit card on file will be charged.

    2. New to MA SNAP benefits, where can I find my PIN number. Tried to call numbers on card, but offices are closed and it’s automated and doesn’t give me any PIN related options. I’ve looked on all my paperwork I just don’t know where to find it. How many digits is it?

  25. Also something that might be an option for some folks: Wegmans has free prescription delivery from the store to your home. Where I live, they do deliveries three days a week. I’ve gotten all my prescriptions that way for a couple of years.

  26. However, here’s the issue with WALMART – we can order, but we’re not able to pay for the groceries online with the EBT card, which is what I thought was so useful. As it is, someone has to present your EBT card and match ID when they pick up your groceries – big deal. This means we personally have to know who can pick up the groceries for us since they need our card or we need to add them to our “list”. The shops have already been approved to accept EBT by the govt., it’s now only a matter of software to accept these payments and the order would be ready for any delivery company to pick up – even Insta-cart grocery deliverers could be talked into wizzing by Walmart to pick up your pre-ordered, pre-packed and pre-purchased groceries (in a SNAP)! It is exasperating to see how close a wonderful lifesaving service can become, but sadly, simple lack of ingenuity and foresight seems to stand in the way.

  27. I am in New York. I don’t want to shop at Walmart. The grocer in my area uses INSTACART delivery and they don’t accept EBT cards or anything other than Credit Cards.   28. I’m in Virginia, we have 3 Walmart’s within 20 min radius. Only 1 has the option to order online and pick up using ebt. They bring the groceries out to you while in the car. So only certain walmart stores have that option. For those who need groceries delivered with ebt, if your area has Schwan’s food delivery, they also accept ebt. Schwans is great because they periodically stop by asking if you need anything from their grocery truck (refrigerated and frozen items). The only downfall to Schwans is their food selection isnt as great as if you were shopping in a store. BUT its available for delivery (to your door) while using your ebt card. Just go to the Schwans food delivery website to see if your area is supported by their delivery. I hope this helps!

  29. I live in Raleigh nc. I’m 80, disabled and sn EBT recipient. All I’d like to know is who to call to order food and have it delivered using my EBT card. This seems to be a giant issue. For Gods sake, we are the community of people needing it the most. I live in an apartment building on 3rd floor. I have no way to get my groceries to me. Does anyone know of any store and delivery service that will home deliver groceries using EBT in Raleigh NC?

    1. I’m sorry and I wish I lived near you because I would do your shopping for you for free. I live in Independence, Missouri but you can get self directed assistance for free if you receive Medicaid or Medicare.
      Contact your local Area Agency on Aging. Call them even if you are young. Ask them if they know of any assistance for: transportation to grocery stores, home aides who can shop for you, local volunteer programs that help people who are low-income or disabled, any other ideas for groceries.

  30. I don’t know if anyone answered this about Walmart yet but you can’t get it delivered with EBT you can only order it online and pick it up because you have to swipe the card when you arrive. To me, that defeats the purpose of online shopping with the card because it says you are able to shop online. though I can appreciate the ability to use it at all, thats a major flaw because if I want to purchase groceries for someone I can’t do that. I guess that what they are trying to avoid

  31. I googled WAL-MART online accepts EBT/SNAP for delivery. And I searched various outlets to verify that delivery was available using EBT payment. Because of this, I went online to order. I bought what I remembered and the total was approximately $200.00. So, I went to check out and I couldn’t find EBT, but I thought I could use the link for credit/debit cards. I input the number and it didn’t go through. I tried again and no again. So I called again and explained my problem to 2 people about 5 times. The second lady finally told me they do not accept the EBT payment. I quoted the link that said that WAL-MART accepted EBT payments online and she said, “see, not offline”. I explained, “it says ONLINE”. And she said well you can pick it up. I explained I didn’t have a car.
    I’m so disappointed in WALMART! I completely believed that they delivered to people who are having financial difficulties that don’t have a car. Whoever is doing their online links with comments, should start checking it out, or implementing a better program.
    I had to change pharmacy from Walmart because they would botch my order or they would send me a text message that my order was ready and I would drive over there (when we had a car) and they would tell me that they didn’t have it. Now, I’m going to change grocery stores. I’m done with Walmart.

      1. Walmart does home delivery, but you have to pay for it.
        EBT only works for someone picking up the order – you have to check the pay at pickup to avoid paying online.
        Trouble is, they asked to see my ID and my EBT – which means it would be more difficult to have someone else pick up my order with my card for me.
        So the only thing I’m ordering from these places will likely be non-EBT items I’d need to pay cash for anyway.

        1. If you contact your EBT worker, you can let them know you have someone else shopping for you. I believe they can issue you a second EBT card with that person’s name on it. (just as a shopper, not actually adding them to your case).

  33. I live in NC. Harris Teeter will take online orders or app orders with EBT cards (note…not for delivery…for “pick up”). Call your store of choice before you put in any order, and get the approval. Once you do, where it says payment select “other payment options”…then select “pay at store”. Although they cannot deliver, the shop will be done for “you”. When it is ready, they require you to bring your EBT card into the store to pay. The groceries will be loaded into your car afterwards. Although it’s not delivery, it’s definitely a huge help!!

The big stores like Wal- Mart, Publix and others around the nation, need to serve us too. We’re the FORGOTTEN members of the communities. A lot of us are Senior citizens on a FIXED income, as well as DISABLED. Some may be disabled from birth. Why can’t we enter our EBT Card number and expiration date the same way you would your bank cards?

        1. I’m just absolutely appalled by this ridiculous glitch in the system that young melinnials can use their credit card on line and have groceries delivered to their home. The elderly with inability to get to the store to use their EBT card hasn’t been included in the community of ordering food on line for delivery using the only means of payment they have, their EBT CARD. Is this even possible that we elderly disabled cannot get food delivered to us, knowing The EBT card is more secure than a credit card. It’s unbelievable that this has not been addressed. Either someone hasn’t got the b—- to stand up for us or we’re eally being ignored due to our status. Whatever the case may be, someone needs to step up and take care of this ridiculous crack in the governmental system.

        2. Yes, they do deliver. Your order must be a minimum of $35.00 or there would be a charge for delivery if less than that.

          I don’t know what they charge for orders less than the minimum order amount {$35.00}. As we usually always spend around $100+ at Publix.

          But they will deliver for free as long as that $35 minimum order is reached, anything less and you’ll have to pay a delivery fee and some stores may be “pick-up only” if less than the minimum order amount {$35.00}.

My EBT is added as a payment method & it comes up when I buy from an approved store (so far only whole foods). I also lived in rural Iowa and ordered Shwans with EBT and this meat PKG comp that was like Omaha Steaks.

      1. I’ve placed an EBT order online at Walmart. When you do,you choose what time you want to pick them up.Theres a designated area for pick up. There’s a number you call on your cell phone to let them know that you’re ready to pick up.Then the shopper comes outside to your car to deliver them to you. They have a payment device in hand for you to pay and they accept EBT cards. This is in Florida

        1. Yes! I’ve gotten three deliveries now through Walmart Grocery, paying with my EBT card.

          There is a delivery fee and it’s customary to tip the delivery person (you do that online afterwards, so no contact necessary). But the first time you order you can get $10 off your order and then you can get a 15 day free trial of the subscription service (after that it’s $12 a month for unlimited deliveries). So I have only had to pay a small tip so far.

I do receive EBT card food assistance and would like to know if I’m able to get a larger amount on this card due to preparing my mother’s food cooking for her to I’m unable to work for the fact that I’m also her caretaker 24/7 and somebody had told me that you could possibly get income for being her caretaker? And also my main question was could I get a larger amount on my food card … Even though she gets a monthly check I’m social security?

  43. What might any of you know about this alleged new service called All_EBT? It purports to open a “digital wallet” which enables one to use a scan of their EBT or food stamps to purchase approved items from online retaillers like Wallmart, Safeway, etc., who currently don’t accept them.
    I cannot find much information online that is not related to the company’s own promotional material, and I honestly cannot tell if it has actually started yet! This would be a godsend if legit, but I hesitate to give them any personal information without knowing more.

ShopRite in Delaware recently changed their Shop From Home online grocery order service to use a separate company called “Shipt” to handle deliveries, and are no longer able to accept EBT cards for online ordering and delivery. I don’t know if this change was also implemented in other states that ShopRite operates in. The person I spoke to at one of the stores seemed to think that ShopRite may not continue using Shipt permanently, but I wouldn’t count them as an authoritative source.

I do have a Medicaid care worker but it’s much simpler for me to read the labels myself, as I have food intolerances and allergies.

I finally got around to singing up for Prime, and I was quoting from something else someone had shared around that time, so maybe they misunderstood or I did. It’s been long enough that I don’t have it in my browser history anymore. I can confirm that I cannot add my ebt card as a method of payment, and I feel like it’s a shame for them to do that and then not let that be an option. That’s great news you shared below about Arizona, I hope they roll it out elsewhere too!

        I *have* heard that you can use your ebt benefits to buy safeway deliveries, so I may have to look into that.
