  1. Sleepy girl, Thank you for this blog. It’s been a huge help to me. I am at my wits end however and can’t find out what I do now that I have been approved for SSDI. I am still employed but out on medical leave since 4/3/19. Luckily, my company has STD/LTD which I am receiving now. I can fully retire this coming August and get my health insurance paid for 5 years as part of my retirement package. My employer is also paying my health insurance now at 100% which has been a blessing. I need help!! No one can answer what I need to do now! I can’t just leave my employer hanging & it’s several months before I can retire so what do I do? If they terminate me I will lose my health insurance which I must have. Do I need to talk with my HR person to see what to do? Do you think they will work with me so I can retire or let me go? I am so confused and can’t risk getting fired. I understand my employer can’t hold my job open forever as well. I truly appreciate any help you could give or the name of an attorney who I can call for more information. I hope all is well in your life. Much respect, Gina
