“My Doctor Said Yes”

If you talk to your doctor about your disability application and you find out your doctor is very supportive, be happy! This will be a huge help for your case. However, it does not mean you will be approved. Most doctor’s know little or nothing about Social Security policies (they don’t teach this stuff in med school!). “My Doctor Said No”

If you find out your doctor will not support your application or wants you to go back to work, still be happy! Be happy you asked.  Be happy they told you the truth.  Be happy you found out now. I know it’s hard, but try not to take it personally. Some doctor’s will not support anyone who applies for disability. It may have nothing to do with you or your condition.
